Principals expect contractors to advise on aspects such as buildability, and other value opportunities. But in many situations, principals may also expect contractors to cover design issues by stealth. This presentation will explore what is meant by ‘buildability’, some of the obligations commonly included in ECI projects, how these relate to development of the design, and the scope of potential liability.
