ANZSMM 2018 has been endorsed by the New Zealand Institute of Building and the Specialist Trades Contractors Federation.

What the ANZSMM 2018 looks like
The ANZSMM 2018 has a tabulated format which is widely adopted internationally. It is divided into 37 Sections. These are similar to the sections in NZS4202 although there are some differences.
Section 1 covers the Introduction, General Rules and Recommendations and the remaining sections relate to separate packages of work continuing the scope, definitions and measuring rules specifically for that section.
Two new sections relevant to NZ conditions have been added to the previous ASMM6:
#38 Fire Protection
#39 Included Sums
NZ Guidance Notes
There are some differences in terminology and practices between NZ and Australia. The new ANZSMM 2018 includes some changes and the addition of the two new sections as above from ASMM6.
The NZ Guidance Notes for ANZSMM 2018 highlight any substantial differences (including terminology used) and provide guidance on how to use ANZSMM 2018 specifically for NZ conditions.
These Guidance Notes will be shipped with orders of ANZSMM 2018 and will be updated as required.
SOQ Example based on ANZSMM 2018
This example SOQ, based on an actual NZ construction project, has been prepared to show what a SOQ looks like using ANZSMM 2018. Not all trades are included at this stage. Thank you to Rawlinsons for developing the example SOQ.
