5.30pm - Doors Open / Networking
6.00pm - Welcome and Introduction - BIMsiNZ Committee
6.10pm - Amanda Batchelor, Rubix - BIM 101- What is this thing called BIM? (and why, and how should I use it?)
To kick off the New Year, come and listen to a plain language BIM overview designed to appeal to all sorts:
· What is BIM?
· Why do people use it?
· How could it be relevant to me?
· How is it currently used in our local industry?
· How do I find out more?
If you are early on in your BIM journey, this session will aim to introduce you to the BIM opportunity in an easy to understand fashion. If you are not so new to BIM, this session will be a good reminder of how we can help upskill others.
6.40pm - BIMsiNz Committee - Ask a BIM expert: Panel Discussion and Focus Groups
The local BIMsiNZ committee members will form a panel for the audience to ask all and any BIM related questions to. Our current committee includes a range of skills from varying client-design-cost-contractor viewpoints, so no (BIM related!) question is off limits.
Following the panel, we will break into focus groups where attendees are able to discuss issues most relevant to them with the BIM expert who best fits their particular field, in a forum with other like minded attendees. The session will include the opportunity to provide feedback on what topics or events you would like to see later in the year to support your BIM development.
7.15pm - Close and Networking
