Job Description

 

The PMO delivery team for Infrastructure projects in Tauranga is delivering a significant portfolio of projects across Tauranga.  As our portfolio expands, as does our construction data which is used for budgeting for future growth planning in our vibrant City.

You will be part of the Infrastructure team and expected to work with the delivery managers, planning team and asset owners. You will also be working with the team in the review of our Development Contributions Policy to ensure that our rates are suitable and project costs are captured by the contributions policy.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cost control and commercial management of projects. As such we are looking for someone who has a solid grounding within the civil infrastructure or buildings space, with the capability and experience to create strong links into our project delivery function. You will work on a range of projects. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders in relation to a range of commercial activities - estimating, variations, cost coding and budgeting to reporting and ensuring project contractual conditions are fully understood in relation to commercial delivery of projects.

Desired Qualifications,Experience & Skills

 

We need an experienced QS for this position who preferably has knowledge of the Tauranga region and infrastructure sector and possesses the below; Min. 3 years experience in infrastructure, construction sector and in a role dedicated to civil engineering quantity surveying/ measurement or infrastructure construction cost management Significant experience building rates from first principles and cost estimating Knowledge of project management concepts including scope, cost, schedule and resource. Degree or tertiary qualification assessed by NZQA to be equivalent to a 3 year degree.
