Otago Polytechnic is experiencing growth in its Quantity Surveying programme, comprising a newly developed three year Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) degree and two-year New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) (Construction Management).
The College of Engineering, Construction and Living Sciences is looking to appoint a new Quantity Surveying Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. In the appointment, you will develop and teach degree and diploma level courses and engage in research.
The position is based at Otago Polytechnic’s Dunedin campus.
Applicants should ideally hold a relevant post-graduate qualification, membership in one or more professional bodies (e.g., RICS, PAQS, NZIQS, NZIOB, or CIOB), and have industry experience. Experience in tertiary teaching and proven research in your industry is highly desirable however support will be provided. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree and suitable experience will be considered and, if successful, may be supported through further study to develop teaching and research capability. To be appointed a Senior Lecturer you will need to hold a tertiary teaching qualification at Level 7.
