Consent problems in Christchurch 14 June 2013 Building and Construction Minister Maurice Williamson reported at the NZIQS Conference in Queenstown Friday 14 June that one of the issues in Christchurch is the time taken for many building consents and that this was unacceptable. He commented that the Accreditation Agency for Consenting authorities had also reported that the consents processing was not meeting appropriate time criteria.
