To enable Metro GlassTech to take full advantage of this growth, we need a Quantity Surveyor with the X-Factor in our Nelson branch.

Reporting to the Nelson Branch Manager, the QS is responsible for leading and driving QS process excellence through the team and for preparing commercial and specialist residential pricing and tenders. The QS takes a proactive role in the submission and follow-up of tenders to ensure the prospective client is well managed and this work can be converted into an active contract. Contract negotiations and liaison between clients and the glazing department are other key responsibilities.

This is a lynch pin role that requires a disciplined and structured approach to pricing work coupled with a proactive and agile approach to managing clients changing needs and to supporting the negotiation and successful completion of a contract.

To be successful as the QS, you will hold the relevant tertiary and professional qualifications and will have significant hands-on experience as a QS within the construction industry. You will be known for your professional and accurate approach to your work and for your proactive style and confidence working with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
