Adam has been assisting the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Canterbury Earthquakes, and is also assisting the Department of Building and Housing as they develop the new codes. He is noted for innovative approach to the design and preservation for heritage buildings.
Steve Bond, a Managing Director of Fibreglass Developments Limited on the topic: Innovations in the Repair and Restoration of Buildings Using Composites.
Steve joined Fibreglass Developments Limited in October 1982 to put his creative talents to use. He took over management of the company a year later. The company has grown steadily over the years as major customers soon took advantage of the innovation on offer, and expanded their product range. Steve has always been strongly creative and good at problem solving. One of the specialities of the company is the use of composites for the restoration of heritage buildings. The restoration of the Wellington Town Hall is a good example of the advantages of using composites.
Large complex shapes can be formed at a fraction of the weight of traditional materials such as concrete, thus reducing the structural load on the whole building.
And to be confirmed:
A speaker from Loss Adjusters Cunningham Lindsey on: The Issues Facing Designers and Building Owners Post Christchurch Earthquakes.
