In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting plans, design details and specifications, and using the database pricing application to identify costs and develop an overall budget for the project. Ensuring project build costs are accurate and well managed throughout the construction phase is also a key priority for this role.
To be considered for this position, you will have proven construction experience and demonstrated practical experience reading and interpreting building plans, and engineering designs and specifications, ideally within the residential sector. Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy are essential for this role, as is strong systems, database and numeracy capability. You will need to think logically, be an analytical problem solver, and have excellent communication and relationship management skills. A working knowledge of relevant legislation and local by-laws would be advantageous.
This role will appeal to either an experienced quantity surveyor, or someone with hands-on building experience who is looking to develop their skills and progress to a role with greater autonomy.
